Internationale erkenning – SEAT viel afgelopen jaar ruim vijftig keer in de prijzen

• Nieuwe SEAT Ateca, Arona, Ibiza en Leon sleepten 27 awards in de wacht​

​SEAT is in het afgelopen jaar maar liefst 53 keer onderscheiden. Vier prijzen gingen naar algemeen directeur Luca de Meo, onder wiens leiding SEAT zijn beste resultaten ooit heeft geboekt. Verder werden vooral de SEAT-fabriek in Martorell en de nieuwe Ateca, Arona, Ibiza en Leon geprezen.

Die laatste vier werden gelanceerd in het kader van SEAT’s grootste modeloffensief ooit. Mede door de introductie van de nieuwe Ateca, Arona, Ibiza en Leon stegen de verkopen van SEAT in 2017 met 13 procent, waarmee het automerk één van de snelst groeiende in Europa is. De vier nieuwelingen sleepten gezamenlijk bijna dertig onderscheidingen in de wacht. Zo werd de Ateca bekroond met de titels ‘SUV van het Jaar’ (Auto Moto, Frankrijk) en ‘Beste compacte SUV’ (What Car?, Verenigd Koninkrijk). Met de Ibiza zat SEAT bovendien voor het eerst in zijn geschiedenis in de finale van de Europese ‘Auto van het jaar 2018’-verkiezing.
